Long Live the King!

The Elvis Convention in Birmingham brought out people from all across Europe on Sunday (8 Jan).  Rockin and a rollin for three days solid the contestants turned up to see who would be crowned the most convincing Elvis impersonator of 2012.  Alot was at stake as the winner gets the opportunity to head to Memphis in the Summer to compete in the World championships.

Happy New Year

It has been a long and interesting 2011 for Ericart.  I have been away for almost 7 months working on a photographic project and it’s now time to knuckle back down to some work in the UK.  I am also excited about the fact that we will be launching our very own camera school in Kenilworth this month and can’t wait to start showing people what to do with their new Christmas pressie!

I hope the year starts well for you all in this Olympic year and Eric the dog sends you all and big Happy New Year woof!

Sydna Jewellers

What a treat…photographing vintage and contemporary jewellery for Sydna jewellers in Leamington Spa.  Sion (owner) and Ann (Mum and business partner) have been running this lovely little shop for just over a year.  When I first popped in I was smitten with the colours and the collection of jewellery.  A real visual feast for any one with an eye for some sparkle.

I wasn’t the only one to appreciate the surroundings….Eric the dog was also smitten by Anne and her supply of kit kats! This may have contributed to his expanding waist line and his embarrassment when I popped on his jacket and he waddled out the shop to the sound of Sion’s laughter.  Eric will now be on a kit kat free diet and has a new coat!

Karen & Robs wedding

A beautiful sunny start to the day and with the help of my other photographer, Georgina we head off to Pershore for the wedding of Karen Thould and Rob Camden.

I love arriving at the bride’s house, its always buzzing with excitement and a sense of nervousness about what will happen over the next few hours.  Frankie (Karen’s daughter) is taking it all in her stride and is busy finishing of the house work while the girls get their make up done!

There is a wonderful sense of calm and Karen has to be one of the most organised brides I’ve ever met, leaving me enough time to pop over and grab a pic of Rob before he heads off to the pub for a pre wedding pint!

The rest of the day flies by and the couple have a lovely service in Malvern town hall before heading over to the Abbey Hotel for a good old knees up.  Watching people celebrate their day is always a mixture of emotions revolving around unity, ceremony, celebration and pure happiness.  A huge thanks to Karen and Rob for being such a fantastic couple to work with and of course for sharing their yummy wedding cake with us.
